Your floors take a beating! From heavy traffic and furniture movement to moisture, spills, and temperature swings. Over time, bare concrete or low-grade coatings can chip, fade, or peel, leaving your space tired and worn down.
Our advanced epoxy floor system, sealed with a polyaspartic top coat, is built to handle it all. Designed for strength, flexibility, and long-term beauty, it forms a seamless, slip-resistant surface that stands up to daily wear, harsh weather, and UV exposure. The result is a floor built for real life and made to last. Thinking about doing it yourself instead? See the common DIY failures we get called to fix most often.
Our epoxy floors are built for lasting durability. The epoxy base and polyaspartic top coat resist cracking, peeling, and fading, keeping your floor strong and beautiful through years of use and changing seasons.
Our installation process is fast and efficient. Most projects are completed in just two days, minimizing downtime so you can enjoy a flawless, long-lasting floor without disrupting your home or business.
Our polyaspartic top coat delivers a premium finish that resists fading and discoloration. Choose a glossy or matte look that keeps its color and performance even under constant sunlight and heavy use.
Our advanced epoxy system bonds deep into the concrete to create a seamless, protective surface that resists moisture, impact, and chemical wear. The polyaspartic top coat adds flexibility and UV stability, keeping your floor smooth and intact through temperature changes and daily use.
This high-performance coating cures quickly and delivers long-lasting strength, forming a finish that stands up to cars, tools, pets, and sunlight without losing its color or gloss. The result is a floor built for real life and made to last.
People ask us to pick a side, epoxy or polyaspartic, like one has to beat the other. That is the wrong question. The strong floors use both, because they do different jobs. The best floor is a system done right, not a can off a shelf, and this is the system.
The epoxy is the base. It bonds to the prepped concrete, builds thickness, and creates the foundation everything else sits on. Bond is everything, so this layer is only as good as the prep underneath it. Get the grind and the base right and you have a floor that grips the slab instead of sitting on top waiting to peel.
The polyaspartic is the top coat. It goes over the epoxy and adds the qualities a base coat alone cannot: UV stability so the color holds instead of yellowing, flexibility so the floor moves with New England temperature swings instead of cracking, and a fast cure that lets us finish most projects in about two days. It is also what gives the surface its resistance to cars, tools, pets, and weather.
Neither layer is the answer by itself. Epoxy without a polyaspartic top coat gives up UV stability and cure speed. A top coat with no proper base has nothing solid to hold. Put them together, installed by a crew that has done it a thousand times, and you get the floor that actually lasts. That is why we do not sell you a product, we install a system.
Durability that holds up. A properly installed epoxy and polyaspartic system typically lasts 15-plus years with low maintenance. The reason is not a magic product, it is the system plus the prep plus the install. A great coating installed carelessly fails, and a good coating installed properly lasts decades.
A surface built for real life. The finished floor resists cars, tools, dropped wrenches, pet claws, road salt, and the temperature swings that come with a Boston year. It wipes clean, and a slip-resistant option keeps it safer when it is wet. You can pick from our full range of color and finish options without giving up any of that toughness.
Materials built for here. We buy direct from top U.S. manufacturers, so we get better products and stronger warranties, and our formulas are crafted for New England conditions rather than pulled off a national shelf.
Installed right the first time. Our crew isn’t cobbled together subcontractors. They’re factory-trained pros who work only for us, and in 40-plus years of doing this around Boston we have put down more than a million square feet with 300-plus 5-star reviews to show for it. That is the GFC Boston difference, and it is the real reason to choose epoxy done our way.
Hear from Boston homeowners and business owners who transformed their concrete with our epoxy flooring. With hundreds of 5-star reviews, our customers say it best.

The work came out awesome and garage looks like a new room.Posted on Google Andrew ArvedonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely AMAZING Work! I may move my bed into the garage and sleep with the cars - the floor is just that beautiful. Thank you to Brian and the team who worked on my cracked and powdery garage floor and made it look like a Ferrari Showroom. Just fantastic. Yes, this is probably a purchase that not many people know what's good, what's right, what it should cost, etc - but Brian's professionalism and the work that this local company did for me made it all feel JUST RIGHT and something that we are so proud to see and felt was very fair. In fact, in my mind, I thought it was going to cost more than their quote. I was prepared! Garage Floor Coating of Boston was recommended to me by a neighbor (after he spoke with 3 companies) and as he said, they were so easy and honest to work with. That's all I needed to hear and after Brian came out to my house, they were hired. NOTHING BUT THE HIGHEST PRAISE! The work is gorgeous. Thank you.Posted on Google Kristen NystromTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brian and his crew were amazing to work with. Floors came out awesome! In June of this year we decided to upgrade the look of our garage. Several of our friends used Garage Floor Coating of Boston for their epoxy floors. We contacted Brian at Garage Floors. He came out to our home, gave us an estimate and within two days of the start of work we had a beautiful durable new floor. His workers were easy to work with. They arrived promptly, Told us what they would be doing and we couldn’t be happier with our new floor! We Recommend this Company wholeheartedly! Polyurea is one type of floor coating, but we’ve found that a professional epoxy base paired with a polyaspartic top coat delivers better overall performance. This system bonds deeply to the concrete for strength and uses a UV-stable finish that stays bright and durable for years.
Yes. Our epoxy + polyaspartic system flexes slightly with your concrete to handle freeze-thaw cycles, road salt, and summer heat. It won’t crack, peel, or fade under the tough conditions that floors in our region face every year.
Both. They are layers of one system, not competitors. The epoxy base bonds to the concrete and builds durability, and the polyaspartic top coat adds UV stability, flexibility, and a fast cure. The strong floors use them together, so the real choice is a system done right rather than a single product.
A properly installed system typically lasts 15-plus years with low maintenance. The number depends far more on prep and install than on the product name, since the same materials fail in the wrong hands and last decades in the right ones.
The polyaspartic top coat is UV-stable, which is what keeps the color holding instead of yellowing. That top layer is a big part of why we install the full system rather than an epoxy base alone.
It does not have to be. We offer a slip-resistant finish, which is a smart choice for garages, bays, and any space where the floor gets wet. We will recommend the right level for how you use the space.
Because we install a system, in-house, and we have the tenure to back it. Founder Jim Rutecki has been in paint and flooring since 1974, our factory-trained crew works only for us, and we have more than a million square feet installed and 300-plus 5-star reviews across Greater Boston. We do it right the first time.
